Peace Flag Workshop, Iowa, USA
In advance of the visit of the Dalai Lama to the University of Northern Iowa in the spring of 2010, I volunteered to offer a workshop to a local 4H club near my university to share a background on Tibetan culture and traditions. Fusing this knowledge with my background in printmaking I guided middle school students in the creation of their own peace flags which were printed an assembled in the day long workshop. I held several of these workshops leading up to the special event at UNI.

Caminos de Esperanza service trip, Guatemala
One of my first overseas service trips, I traveled with a group to western rural Guatemala to help break ground and begin preparations for a school set to open in 2008. As one of the creative minds among a team of builders and construction work, I was tasked with several of the aesthetic tasks including designing and painting school furniture such as desks.
